Abstract
This paper reports on the effects of intra-arterial intubation chemotherapy as a first step of the heatment of 12 cases of advaned grastric cancer. Its aim is to improve operative resection rate. Patients who had received intra-arterial infusion chemotherapy 1 or 2 times were relieved in different degreses. Those whose enclosed masses in the abdomen were lessened in 10 occupied 83. 3 %. Of the eigh patients who had pperative resection, 2 got the radical operation of D1,4 radical operation of D2palliative operation with a response rate of 66. 7%. Histology effect has been proved that 2 patients with operaive resection brought a mild effect,5 moderate effect and 1 a striking effect with satisfactory results. Therefore, preoperative intra-arterial infusion chemotherapy in the treatment of advanced grastric cancer can improve clinical stadium and reduce the focus of primary disease. It is significant for patients that they will pely receive the operative therapy in the future.
