Overexpression of Mutant P53 Protein is Associated with Gastric Carcinoma Metastasising to Oemote Rrgans

  • We have studied the expression of P53 in 62 patients with gastric carcinomas. A standard immunohistochemical technique employing the anti P53 monoclonal antibody (Pab1801) was applied to the routinly fixed and paraffin-embedded material from these tumors. These data suggest that the overexpression of the P53 oncoprotein is an independent marker for poor prognosis in gastric patients.
