  • Objective To study the expression and significance of FHIT in tongue squamous cell carcinoma. Methods The expression of FHIT was studied with immunohistochemical method in 30 cases of tongue squamous cell carcinoma and 12 cases of normal tongue mucosa squamous epithelium. Results The positive expression rate of FHIT was significantly lower in tongue squamous cell carcinoma ( 40.0% ) than that in normal tongue mucosa squamous epithelium( 75.0%, P< 0.05 ).
