Effect of Hyperthermia on Tongue Squamous Carcinoma Cells Proliferation Activity

  • Objective To investigate the effect of hperthermia on tongue squamous carcinoma cells proliferation activity and explore the mechanism of hyperthermia for treatment of cancer. Methods Tongue squamous carcinoma cells ( Tca-8113) heated to 43 centigrade in vitro were analyzed DNA content through flow cytometry( FCM) and MTT, and the cells proliferation activity were analyzed. Results The percentage of G 0-G1 、Sphage cells has not changed and the percentage of G2-M phage cells decreased obviously af ter t reated with hyperthermia, but this effect didn't change as the heated time prolonged. Hyperthermia could suppress cell proliferation and metabolism. Conclusion Hyperthermia can suppress cell proliferation to meet the goal of cancer treatment .
