Review on Researches of TFF3 as Tumor Biomarker

  • 摘要: 三叶因子3(trefoil factor 3, TFF3)为三叶因子多肽家族成员之一,与肿瘤的发生发展密切相关,可促进肿瘤的侵袭、转移与血管生成。作为肿瘤生物标志物,TFF3对胃癌诊断具有较高的敏感度和特异性,优于胃蛋白酶原(Pepsinogen, PG)标志物,是胃癌非侵入性筛查潜在的理想标志物,并可应用于胃肠道肿瘤化疗药效与预后的评价,同时,TFF3应用于子宫内膜样腺癌及甲状腺微小浸润性滤泡癌的病理诊断也具有重大临床价值。TFF3作为新型肿瘤生物标志物,在肿瘤分子诊断与靶向、个体化治疗领域倍受临床关注。

     

    Abstract: Trefoil factor 3(TFF3) is one member of trefoil factor family, and it has been closely related to tumor growth and progression, contributing to the invasion, metastasis and angiogenesis of the tumor. As a tumor biomarker, TFF3 has higher sensitivity and specificity for the diagnosis of gastric cancer than the biomarker pepsinogen(PG), and it is a promising biomarker for the non-invasive screening of gastric cancer. Moreover, TFF3 is the factor for chemotherapy evaluation and poor prognosis of gastrointestinal cancer. Additionally, TFF3 has a great value for the pathological diagnosis of endometrioid adenocarcinoma and thyroid microinvasive follicular carcinoma. As a novel and promising tumor biomarker, TFF3 would play a great role in the molecular diagnosis, targeted and personalized therapy of cancer.
