Analysis of radiotherapy of effect for enclometrial carcinoma

To observe the effect radiotherapy in treating the patients with endomtrial carcinoma, this article contains 72 patients who received radiotherapy in our hospital from 1987 t0 1990. According to FIGO staging 1971, there were 24 cases in stageⅠ,41 cases in stage Ⅱ,7cases in stageⅢ. The median age was 57. 96 years. The whole pelvis radiation alone 5 cases, afterloading irradiation 14 cases,external irradiation supplemented by intracavitary radiation 53 cases, 38 cases were treaed by radiotherapy followed by surgery. Postoperative pathologic peimens proved that the cancer is not found in some specimens, radiotherapy is important to endometrial careinoma. The overall 5-year survival rate was 52.67%; 5-year survival rates of Ⅰ～Ⅲ stage were 58%,51. 14%and 28.77%.The results suggested that exernal irradiation supplemented by intracavitary radiation provide the best therapentic effect.To improve effectiveness of radiotherapy for endomtrial carcinoma and design the plan of radiotherapy, doctors should get more details of cancer by C. T, Ultrasound and MRI.
