The effect of ondanstron and granistron of single dose to prevent the emesis and vomiting induced by intraperitoneal chemotherapy

The effect of ondanstron and granistron to prevent the emesis and vomiting induced by intraperitoneal chemotherapy was observed by randomized self-comparison.Both druge were administered at the time of 30 minutes before the start of chemotherapy.The results showed that the effective control rates of the acute emesis and vomiting by ondanstron and granistron were not different statistically(P0.05)to delay emesis and vomiting, the effective control from day 2 to day 5 was also not of difference between the two drugs(P0.05).The incidence of the side effect of the two drugs was 33.3% and 38.9%,respectively.Our conclusion was that the two drugs had no significane difference both in the prevention effect of emesis and vomiting induced by intraperitoneal chemotherapy and in the side effect.
