A REPORT OF 25 CASES OF RHABDOMYOSARCOMA

  • From 1975—1985, a total of 25 patients with rhabdomyosarcoma treated by various metheds were analized, of which 18 were male and 7 were female. The average age is 35 years old. This kind of tumor arises in various parts of the body: the head and neck, the extremities, the trunk and testis, histological types including embryon 1, alveolar, pleomorphic, botryoid and unclassic. The 5-year survival rate is 12%. Prognosis is related to clinical stage, pathologic classification and treatment method. proper wide excision tumor combined with radiotherapy and chemotherapy is important in improving the treatment results.
