EMBRYONAL RHABDOMYOSARCOMA OF THE BLADDER:A REPORT OF 9 CASES AND IMMUNOHISTOCHEMICAL STUDY

Nine cases of rhabdomyosarconma of the bladder from 1958 to 1986 were reported.8 were males, 1 female. ages range from 11 months to 63 years. Five cases presentpolypoidosis and four cases with nodular tumor and protruding masses in cavity ofthe bladber. Pathological diagnosis: All were embryonal rhabdomyosarcoma. Sincethe term of botryoid sarcoma can not indicate the histological origin of the tumor.We suggest that this term should fall into disuse.
