RADIATION THERAPY IN CARCINOMA OF THE SKINS:REPORT OF 139 CASES

  • This paper report 139 cases of skin cancer during 1971-1981.73 of 139 were Uighur,the ratio of male to female being 2.3:1,53 cases were Han M:F nearly 1:1 and 13 cases were other nationalities,The average-age was 50,2 for Uighur and53.9 for Han.The age difference between two nationalities was statistically significant, (P<0.01).Of these.basal cell carcinoma accounts for 51.1%,all involving to the head and face, 46%were squamous cell,carcinoma,among them,67. 1%occurred in the head and face,32, 9%in the other site, The overall 5-year survival was 40 .3%, there was sigificant difference in survival rate between the patients with or without lymphnode metastasis.
