TREATMENT OF 20 PATIENTS WITH METASTATIC CEREBROMA

  • 20 patients with metastatic cerebroma in our department from 1987 to 1990 were treated by surgery mainly combined with other therapy. Allover the median of survival period was 7.5 month, among the 20 patients survival period of the cases treated by surgery was 10 month. The efficacy was better than that reported before. In order to raise the therapeutic efficacy of metastatic cerebroma, correct diagnosis, unlarging surgery indications, selective surgery performing for the patients who had multimetastatic cancer and primary cancer in other site unenabling to operate are important.
