HEMANGIOPERICYTOMAS (WITH 7 CASES REPORT)

  • The nemangloperlcytomas is a very rare solt tissue tumor. During the last 20 years, we collected Seven cases (5 males and 2 females) whose ages ranged from 30 to 56 years (median 43.9 years) and all of them had histologically confirmed. The common primary sites are trunk (3/7), head and neck (1/7), upper extremities (1/7), lower extremity (1/7) and retroperitoneum (1/7). Surgery is a major treatment approaches, surgical excision in one patient, surgery combine with radiotherany in five patients, with radiotherapy and chemotherapy in one patient. After treatment three patients had local recurrence, one patient had distant metastases and three patients had local recurrence and distant metastases, all metastasized to the lung. Follow-up results showed that six patients survived more than 5 years, four patients survived excessive 10 years (three patients live now and one patient mission contact) and one patient survived 28 months.
