Scanning Electron Microscopic Study of Hodgkin'S Disease in Paraffine-embedded Tissues

  • None case of Hodgkin's disease (HD) in paraffine-embedded tissues were studied by scanning electron microscopy (SEM),and eight cases were reported in this article. SEM,there were two kinds of lymphocyte in HD. First lymphocyte, there were smooth surface or only more or less wrin-kles and less granular protruswma, uke normal T lymphocytes. Second,on the surface of tumor cells therewere a lot of and microvilli, like normal B lymphocytes. In HD,there were long and thin mi-crovilli or shorter and thicher on the surface of Hodgkin's cell,R-S cell and multiplenuclei gaint cell. Hodgkin、cells were one of true neoplastive cell. which have diagnostic value. On the surface Picture, the third kind of cells were similar to B lymphocytes. This finding supported that Hodgkin's cell might originate from B-cell.
