Abstract
We selected 30 patients with tumor in respiratory and metabolic system, they were routinely treated by chemotherapy within the experiment, the level of cortisol and aldosterone were examined by radioimmunoassay. As a result, the level of cortisol and aldosterone were reduced from 663.45 ± 243.17nmo1/L to 474.78 ± 275.45nmo1/L and from 638.83 ± 324.39amo1/L to 434.45 ± 322.42nmo1/L respectively. It differ significantly (P<0.0l, P<0.02). The results suggest that chemotherapy auppreas the secretive function of adrenal cortex. We may use corticoid drugs to minimize the side effect during the chemotherapy.
