  • Twenty-two patients with advanced esophageal cancer were treated by king close cisplatin(DDP) combination chemotherapy.The regimen was Pcp(DDP+CTX+PYM).DDP was given at a dose of 100my/m2 intravenously every 4 weeks.Three patients achieved CR.Seven casesPR.The response rate(CR+PR) was 46%.The side effects observed in these patients were as follow:myelosuppression,nausea and vomiting and alopecia and fever.Whereas the side-effects on kidney,liver heart,lung and neurologial system were very few.
