Diagnostic value to determination of serum GST and B-GST for the patients with malignant tumor

The activities of glutathione S-transferase(GST) and basic glutatione S-tranferase(B-GST) in serum for healthy adults and patients with tumor were assayed with Adachi method and Shivndra method respectively.In results,serum B-GST activities significantly incresed only in cases of hepatoma(P<0.05),the positive rates in 55.6%,serum GST activities in cases of hepathoma,lung cancer,breast cancer,cancer of uterine cervix,nasopharyngeal cancer and cancer of esophagus were not different significantly as compared to healty adults(P>0.05).
