Diagnosis and treatment of lung hamartoma

Abstract
This paper presents 30 cases with lung hamartoma. The male to female ratio was 1. 7: 1. The age with a mean of was 46. 9 years. The preoperative disease history was averagely 7.9 monthes. Fourly percemt of the cases showed no symptoms. Other cases symptoms were less and light. X-ray findings were roumd or oval mass with lobulation (13.3%)and calcification (10. 0%). The diagnosis was confirmed in 26. 7% cases preoperation. Lung hamartoma was. classificated into 3 types in this paper: 25 cases of them (83. 4%) were intrapulmonary type, 4 cases (13. 3% ) were endobronchial and 1 case (3. 3%) was multiple. The etiological causes,classification, diagnosis, differential diagnosis and treatment of lung hamartoma were discussed.
