Antitumor activity of pig pineal body extract

The antitumor activity of the three pig pineal body extracts, Songlesu A, B and C were tested in mice Sarcoma 180 (S180), Sarcoma 37 (S37) and Melonoma (Me). The tumor inhibition rates of Songlesu A, B and C against S180 was 14- 22%, 17- 52. 5 % and 19- 21. 4% respectively under the doses of 0.05- 0. 2 ml/day ; against S37 31 - 34. 6% (P0. 05), 4. 5- 22. 9 % and 22- 22. 9%respectively and for the Me it was 22. 7- 34. 7 %, 31- 45 % (P0. 01), 28- 31 % (P0. 05) respectively.Therefore, all three preparations had some antitumor activity against S180, S37 and Me.
