The effect of the component Ⅱ in scorpion venom crude extracted from buthus martensii karsch(svc Ⅱ)on the human rectum adenocarcinoma C1184 cell line

Scorpion Venom Crude Ⅱ(SVC Ⅱ)was one of the effective components which was isolated from the scorpion venom crude extracted from Buthus Martensii Karsch in Henan Province.The experimentalresults showed that SVC Ⅱ with the concentration ranging from 4μg/ml to 20μg/ml had obvious killing acticitv on the human rectum adenocarcinoma C1184 cell line in Vitro in comparison with the positive control which was Mitomycin-c.Compared with the blank control,SVC Ⅱcould induceto increase the inhibitary rate of cell growth,the cvtotoxicitv and inhibited rate of the colonv formation(P0.05 or P0.01).There existed the dose-response correlations between the inhibitioneffect and the dose of SVC Ⅱ.The half inhibition concentrations of cell growth(Ⅰ C50)in above experiments were 11.20μg/ml、11.93μg/ml and 17. 38μg/ml,respectively.It was found that SVCⅡ signficantly inhibited C1184 cell growth in the dose-dependent and time-dependent manner in cell growth curve.The mitotic index of C1184 cells could be reduced by SVC Ⅱ.So it was supported that.SVC Ⅱpossess antineoplastic effect on tumor cell proliferation.
