The value of endoseopy examination in Postoperative patients with Esophageal and Cardiac Cancer

  • From July 1984 to march 1992, 73 cases of Esophageal endoscopy examination were performed in postoperative patients with esophageal and cardiac cancer in our hospital.The diagnosis of en-doscopy examination include 21 cases (28.77 %) of returning esophagitis (6 cases of suturewire ex-posed),16cases (21.92%) of recurrent cancer,8 cases (10.95%) of suture thread end remained, 7 cases(9.58%)of vocal cord paralysis,6 cases (8.20%)of foreign body remained and nomal in 6 cases(8.20%).In order td discover the recurrent cancer as early as possible.We suggested that it is necessary to take endoscopy esa urination for the postoperative patients in a frequence of one time every 3 to 6 months in the firest and second year after the operation.After that,checking one time in every year is also necessary.
