The Clinical Types and Operating Indications in the Polypoid Lesions of Gallbladders

  • Early Carcinoma of the gallbladder took up 10 per cent in polypoid change of gallbladder. How to reduce the missed diagnosis of the early cholecystic cancer? We went over 107 cases of the polypoid lesions in the cholecystectomy from May of 1987 to April of 1996.The results showed:multiple polypoid changes took 62.61 per cent(67/107),single lesion was 37.38 per cent<40/07);Benign polyp took 95.32 percent(102/107),malignant lesions took up 4.67 per cent(5/107); polypoid changes could occur at any part of the gallbladders. However, most lesions were seen at the body of gallbladders, the secondary was the base.In addition, this article discussed the relations among the pathologic type, clinic indexes, canceration and operating indications in polypoid change of gallbladder. We suggested when the ploypoid lesions were single, diameter more than 10 millimeters, sessile, hyperplasia gradually and patients'age over fifty the polyp might be malignant and must be resected.
