For undrestanding the interact of (elemene extracted from a Chinese herb (Curcwma wenyujin)with other chemotherapeutic agents，we observed the cyto-toxic dffects of elemene combined with adriamycin of cisplatin on human gas-troadenocarcinoma cell line SGC-7901 in vitro MTT assay. It was found that SGC-7901 cell was sensitive to (elemene with a positive correlation between cytotoxic in-dex and (elemene concentration (P<0.05).There were significant synergism in the ytotoxic effcets of elemene combined with adriamycin or cisplatin of SGC-7901 cell.The above results are valuable to treatment of human gastroadeno-carcinoma using .
