Analysisleucovorinof the short-term efficacy about high-doseand 5-Fu basedcombination coinadvanced gastricpared withFAM regimen in treatingcarcinoma

Both 30 patients of advanced gastric carcinoma were treated to using high-dose leucovorin and based regimen and FAM regimen. The overall response rates were 39.28% and 43.330o respectively.The complete response rates were 10.71% and respectively .The gastrointestinal tract reaction and myelo-suppression were similar in both group.ECG abnormality was seen in patients in FAM group，but none in high-dose leucovorin group.Cardiac toxicities were less frequency in high-dose leucovorin group than in FAM group.The trial suggests that high-dose leucovorin and based regimen is effective for advanced gastric carcinoma and is especially suitable for patients with cardiac disorders.
