Short Term Effects of Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy for Advanced Primary Hepatic Cancer

  • Since October 1992, 35 patients with advanced primary hepatic cancer(PHC)have been treated by Cisplatin-based intraperitoneal chemotherapy.Short term effects:there were 12(34.3%)cases got partial remission, 16 showed no change, and 7 worsened.The toxic effects observed were mild nausea, vomitting and myelosuppression.No toxicity of liver and kidney was observed.It seems that Cisplatinbased intrapertoneal chemotherapy for PHC is well tolerable and active regimen.
