The relationship between the PCNA,P⁵³ overexpression and Prognosis of squamous cell carcinoma of larynx

In order to approach the significance of PCNA,P⁵³in laryngeal carcinoma,immunohistochemical staining method was used to detect the proteins of PCNA,P⁵³ in 56 cases of squamous cell carcinoma of larynx and 7 cases of normal larynx tissues.The positive incidences of PCNA,P⁵³in laryngeal carcinoma were 71.4% and 51.8%,respectively.No protein was found in normal tissuse.Overexpression of PCNA, P⁵³were positive correlated to clinical stage,lymphatic node metstasis and patient survival rates of this tumor.The overexpression of PCNA,P⁵³ are closely correlated with the poor prognosis of laryngeal carcinoma.
