The clinical study on the plan of Elemene Emulsion with Staphylococcal Enterotoxin to treat malignant effusion

78 patients with malignant effusion were divided randomly into observed group andcontrol group from January, 1995 to June, 1997. Patients in observed group were treated with Elemene Emulsion combined with staphylococcal enterotoxin and patients incontrol group were treated with staphylococcal enterotoxin only. The result showed theeffective rate in observed group was 87.18% and 53.84 % in control group (P0.01).The main side effects of observed group were appetite loss,chest pain and fever.
