Combined effects of sodium selenite and all-trans retioic acid on c-myc and c-fos oncogenes expression of human pronyelocytic leukemia cells(HI-60)

  • HL-60 cell line was used to study the combined effects of sodium selenite and all transretinoic acid (RA) on c-myc and c-fos oncogenes expression,Slot blot analysis domonstratedthat 1-2 days after treatment by Na2SeO3 and RA cells showed decreased expression of cmyc, but further treatment slightly increased expression of c-myc gene. Combined treatmentdecreased expression of c-myc more significantly. Both Na2SeO3 and RA showed high expression of c-fos after 3-4 days. 4 days after treatment with 5.8μmol/L Na2SeO3, 0.1μmol/LRA and combined treatment, the expression of c-fos were 2.8, 3.7 and 5.4 times that ofcontrol respectively.
