The Significance of Microvessel Quantitation in Carcinoma of Stomach

Microvessel quantitation in 54 cases carcinoma of stomach was studied by LSAB using antibody to factor Ⅷ-related antigen.The results showed the microvessel count of early gastric carcinoma was lower than that of advanced gastric carcinoma(PO.02).In advanced gastric carcinoma,the microvessel count of well-differentiated adenocarcinoma was lower than that of low-differentiated and non-differentiated adeno-carcinoma(P 0. 02,P0.01). The microvessel count and the area of micro vesselwere obviously dif1. ferent between node-positive and node-negative groups(P0.01,P0.01). It was showed that the microvesselwas correlated with the tumor cell differentiation, invasive,and metastasis of lymph node. It was a valuable parameter forclinical treatment on patient with gastric carcinoma.
