Quantitative study of AgNOR and DNA on giant cell tumor of bone

  • A sdudy on 50 and 30 cases of giant cell tumour (GCT) was perfomed respectively bythemeans of AgNOR and FCM method. The mean AgNOR count of per nucleus was 7.49±1.57 in gradeⅠ,9.47±1.08in gradeⅡ,10.67±0.37in grade Ⅲ The differences (ⅠversusⅡ,Ⅰversus Ⅲ)werestatistically significant and Ⅱ versus Ⅲ was insigniifcant at the 5 percent level. The difference ofaneuplody rate were. significant among three grade. The percentage of S phase was no significant difference among three grade. AgNOR count was higher inaneuploidy cases than that in diploidy ones.Theploidy pattern and AgNOR count were cirrelated with recurence and soft tissue invasion of GCT.
