The sex hormone receptors in cytosol and nuclear extract fractions of human gastric cancer SGC-7901 cell line

  • We determined the levels of estrogen(ER), progesterone(PR) and androgen recepter(AR) with dextrancoated charcoal method(DCC method) in both the cytosol andnuclear KCI extractable fractions separated from cultured SEC-7901 cells, a humanlower differentiated gastric adenocarcinoma cell line. The result showed that, in cytosoland nuclear extract of SGC-7901 cells the level of ER were 30.2 and 35.7 fmol/mgprotein, the level of PR were 20.3 and 22.7 fmol/mg protein, but the AR were negative(10fmol/mg protein) individually. This result indicated that SGC-7901 cell is ERand PR positive, the ER and PR existed in cytosol and nuclear extract of gstric carcinomacells. Soogastric cancer is possibly sex hormone dependent and responding to endocrinetherapy.
