Abstract
Objective To explore the significance of DNA ploidy and cell proliferous ratio of prostate intraepithelial neoplasia in diagnose and differential diagnose. Methods The image cytomet ry was used to measure the average DNA content, the DNA average ploidy value and cell proliferous ratio of prostate intraepithelial neoplasia, benign prostate hyperplasia and prostate cancer. Results The heteroploidy rate of PIN group was 70 %. The DNA average ploidy value, G-phase fraction and S-phase fraction of PIN group were between BPH group and PC group. Conclusion DNA heteroploidy, higher S-phase fraction as the biological features of PIN can be used as an reference index for PIN differential diagnose.
