Abstract
Objective Exploration of the relationship between the behavioral abnormality of chromosomal telomeres in malignant neoplasm's and the carcinogenesis . Methods The telomeric association was used by peripheral blood lymphocyte cultures, the telomere length was used by means of southern hybridization, the telomerase activity was used by means of TRAP ( telomeric Repeat Amplification protocol )on PCR. Results The telomeric association rate of esophageal carcinoma (14.38% ), Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma NPC (35.07% ), Lung Carcinoma (24.40% ) were found to be higher than that of controls (9.83% 、20.27% and 14.29% ) P <0.01, the telomere length of in NPC and lung carcinoma 16.67% and 16.67% have telomere elongation, 76.67% and 69.04% have telomere reduction, 6.67% and 14.29% exhibited equal lengths as compared with the controls . The positive rates of telomerase activity were 82.14% in NPC, 78.3% in NSCLC 、100% in SCLC. Condusion Increase of the telomeric association retes, the reduction of telomere length and the positive rates of telomerase activity were more closely related to cell carcinogenesis .
