A Study on the Correlation between ps2 Expression and the Cl inical and Pathological Factors

  • Objective To study the correlation between p s2 expression and the clinical and pathological factors. Methods Immunohistochemist ry was used to examine p s2 protein expression in 196 operable cases of breast cancer. 26 patient s which have detected breast tumors received 1 or 2 cycles of new - adjuvant chemotherapy. Results ps2 protein expression is closely correlated with ER expression ( P < 0. 01) and histological types as well as Her22 expression ( P < 0. 05) . The correlation between ps2 protein expression and effect s of new - chemotherapy has no statistical significance ( P = 0. 06) . It is not correlated with age, TNM stages, tumor size and axillary node status. Conclusion ps2 protein is an indicator for biological behavior in breast cancer.
