Microsurgical operation for basal ganglia tumors with transpterional-insula approach and preserving movement function

  • Objective To summarize experience with 11 cases of the basal ganglia tumors that were be treated by operation in preserving movement function. Methods Eleven patients with basal ganglia tumors were treated with microsurgical operation by pterional-insula approach. Results Tumors of 8 cases were totally resected, of 2 cases were largely resected, of 1 case partly resected .
