Abstract
Objective To study radiotherapy modality and prognosis in patients with multiple brain metastases. Methods One hundred and twelve patients with multiple brain metastases were treated with WBRT, SRS/ SRT, WBRT plus SRS/ SRT differently, the median survival time and the lethality of brain metastases were analyzed. Results The median survival time was 3. 8 months, 7. 8 months and 8. 0 months in WBRT, SRS/ SRT and WBRT plus SRS/ SRT differently. the lethality of brain metastases was 67. 7 %, 15. 7 %, and 11. 6 % in WBRT, SRS/ SRT, WBRT plus SRS/ SRT. Conclusion SRS/ SRT and WBRT plus SRS/ SRT can improve local control and ultimate outcome in patient s with less brain metastases numbers.
