Surgical Treatment of 31 Caes With Locally Recurrent Rectal Cancer

Objective To sum up the experience in surgical resection of locally recurrent rectal cancer. Methods 31 patients with rectal cancer local recurrence were surgically treated. Results The resection rates,3-year survival rates, and 5-year survival rates,for asymptomatic and symptomatic patients,were 80.0% and 28.6%,60.0% and 23.8%, and 40.0% and 9.5%, respectively.The differences were statistically significant.With regard to the site of recurrence, intrapelvic cavity recurrence had the lowest resection rate an...
