Abstract
Objective To evaluate the value of combined detection of CEA, CA199 and CA242 in gastric fluid in ailment diagnosis on gast ric cancer. Methods The levels of CEA, CA199 and CA242 in serum and gastric fluid that gathered f rom 28 cases of gast ric cancer and 32 cases of pre2cancer were analyzed by chemiluminescence immunoassay (CL IA) and enzyme linked lmmuno-sorbant assay ( EL ISA), which control by 28 healthy. Results In the group of gastric cancer, the average levels and detecting sensitivity of CEA, CA199 and CA242 from gastric fluid were significantly higher than that of serum( P < 0. 01) ; There were also significant differences for the levels of these three indexes among the cancer, the pre-cancer and the control group, both in serum and in gastric fluid ( P < 0. 01) ; Combined detection of these three tumor markers has statistically enhanced diagnostic sensitivity ( P < 0. 01) . Conclusion Combined detection for CEA, CA199 and CA242, especially in gast ric fluid, may play a role in both early diagnosis and supervision on therapeutic effect s to gastric cancer.
