Abstract
Objective To discuss the surgical operation through esophageal hiatus in older patients with cardia carcinoma. Methods 52 cases of older patients with cardia carcinoma were analyzed retrospectively from January 1995 to December 2001. 43 cases of all were treated with esophagogastrostomy and 9 cases with esophagojejunostomy.
