Abstract
Objective To assess the diagnostic value and standard of ultrasound in cervical metastasis lymph node from Nasopharyneal Carcinoma(NPC). Methods 30 patients of cervical metastasis lymph nodes fome NPC,they were diagnosed by clinical doctor and pathology, were selected. The cervical masses were examined by gray scale ultrasound,Color Dopller Flow lmaging(CDFL) and Color Dopller Energy(CDE). Results The range of diameter of metastasis lymph nodes were from 0.4cm to 5.0cm in this group. The ratio of long to short diameter(L/S) were smaller than 2 above 85%.The intra-echoes were lower echoes mainly. The liquified lymph nodes could show the mixed echoes or no-echoes.The skin-texture thickened no-even or disappeared. The gates of lymph nodes were partial or disappeared. The border more were indistinct and no regular. The distribution of blood stream mainly were around types(47.9%) and no-blood types(33.3%).RI were higher, average was 0.72.Some cases showed jugular veins to be oppressed,or cancer's plug in jugular veins. Conclusion The ultrasounic image of cervical metastasis lymph nodes from NPC have comparativly characteristic expression in shape,border,intra-echo structure, distribution of blood stream, hemodynamics and metastasis out of wrap membrane of lymph nodes, the most can be diagnosed correctly according to the results of gray scale ultrasound and Color Dopller imaging.
