Expression and Clinical Significance of Fragile Histidine Triad in Endometrial Adenocarcin-oma

Objective 　To investigate the expression and clinical significance of Fhit protein in endomet rial adenocarcinoma. Methods 　The expressions of Fhit protein were defected by immunohistochemical staining SP method in 12 cases of normal endomet rium tissues, 32 cases of endomet rium hyperplasia tissues, 42 cases of endomerial adenocarcinoma tissues. Results 　The reduction expression of Fhit protein were detected in endometrial adenocarcinoma, the negative rate was 40. 5 %, there were statistical significant difference compare to those in normal endomet rium tissues and endomet rium hyperplasia tissues ( P <0. 05) . The reduction of Fhit protein expression in endomet rial adenocarcinoma was associated with histological grade 、surgical stage、muscular invasion and lymphatic metastasis. Conclusion 　Fhit may play a role in oncogenesis and progression of endomet rial adenocarcinoma, the reduction of Fhit protein expression can serve as a marker for evaluating the malignancy.
