The growth of transplant S180 in mice was inhibited by allium

  • Objective To investigate whether the allium could inhibited the growth of carcinoma or not. Methods Five groups of mice were injected the S180 and fed by foods containing allium of different doses. After two weeks, the mice were killed and the tumor weights of each mouse were measured. Results A statistically significant inhibition of growth of S180 by allium could be found. The rate of inhibition was 37% when the dose of allium was 20%.
