Objective To explore the role of vascular endothelial growth factor in ovarian carcinoma growth and invasion. Methods The VEGF cDNA was transfected into ovarian cancer cell line OVCAR3, and the VEGFmRNA and protein expression in OVCAR3 transfected with VEGF cDNA were detected by Northern blot and Western blot respectively.
