Abstract
Objective To investigate the expression and significance of chemokine receptor (CXCR4) in thyroid cancer, and provide basis for seeking new target in thyroid cancer therapy. Methods SP immuno2 histochemical technique was used to test the different expression of chemokine receptor (CXCR4) in tis2 sues of thyroid cancer, nodular goiter, thyroid adenoma and normal thyroid tissues. The relation of CX2 CR4 expression in thyroid cancer with pathological type, the state of lymphatic metastasis, age and sex was analyzed. Results The expressional level of CXCR4 in thyroid cancer is high, and is closely related with pathological type and the state of lymphatic metastasis, however positive expression did not related to age and sex. Conclusion CXCR4 may cont ribute to the function in occurrence and development of thy2 roid cancer. The expression of CXCR4 in thyroid cancer might be used as a marker to evaluate prognosis and provide the important basis for seeking new curing target s of thyroid cancer therapy in clinic.
