Abstract
Osteosarcoma is a common malignant tumor originating from bone and mainly occurs in children and adolescents. The 5-year survival rate is less than 70%. Currently, the treatment of osteosarcoma has reached a plateau, and further improvement in prognosis may depend on new biological therapies. The role of miRNAs in tumors has been increasingly recognized, and the miR-17-92 gene cluster has been used as an oncogene in osteosarcoma. This article reviews the function and mechanism of miR-17-92 gene cluster in osteosarcoma, to bring a new scheme for the diagnosis and treatment of osteosarcoma.
