Research Progress of Mice Metastasis Models for Lung Cancer

  • Lung cancer has become one of the most common malignant tumors with the highest morbidity and mortality, and the greatest threat to people's health and life; while lung cancer metastasis is the major cause of treatment failure and the mortality of lung cancer patients. The main reason of the phenomenon is because the mechanism of lung cancer metastasis is not fully understood. It is advisable to choose appropriate lung cancer metastasis animal model according to both the characteristics of the animal and the model. Lung cancer metastasis animal models can provide the research basis which is helpful to investigate the pathogenesis, prevention strategies of lung cancer metastasis, clinical early diagnosis and the drug efficacy evaluation. This paper aims to introduce how to choose different immune deficient mice, how to build in situ metastasis, lymphatic metastasis, hematogenous metastasis, bone metastasis, brain metastasis and visceral metastasis animal models, and their applications in science research.
