Objective To investigate the tumor incidence in Jiang’an District of Wuhan from 2006 to 2013, in order to provide a theoretical basis for the further development and adjustment of tumor prevention and control measures.
Methods We collected the statistical data of the incidence from 2006 to 2013 in Jiang’an District region. Time series regression and correlation analysis were performed on the incidence of malignant tumor and the average onset age of the disease using annual percentage change (APC).
Results The incidence sequence of tumor was significant different between male and female; the incidence of malignant thyroid tumor in male was on the rise, and APC was 34.58%(P<0.001); the incidence of thyroid cancer and cervical cancer in female were both increasing, and APC were 35.93%(P<0.001) and 8.65%(P=0.004) respectively; meanwhile, the average onset age of malignant thyroid tumor in male was 9.75 years ahead of time, but that of breast cancer in female was 2.29 years later.
Conclusion The incidence sequence of malignant thyroid tumor is advanced. The incidence of thyroid cancer and cervical cancer are increasing, and the average onset age of malignant thyroid tumor in male is ahead of time. Therefore, thyroid cancer and cervical cancer should become the focus of the future work of malignant tumor prevention.
