Role of Akt-mediated Signaling Pathways in Tumor Lymphangiogenesis

  • Tumor lymphangiogenesis not only provides nutrients for the growth of tumor metabolism, but also is the important condition of tumor lymph node metastasis. But the molecular mechanism of tumor lymphatic freshman is complex, and needs the regulation of a variety of growth factors, receptors and signaling pathways. Akt is in the important intersection of multiple signaling pathways, and the activation of Akt is of great significance in the invasion and metastasis of tumor. The molecules, such as vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF),fibroblast growth factor-2 (FGF-2),insulin-like growth factor (IGF),and hepatocyte growth factor(HGF),promoting lymphangiogenesis are directly or indirectly by Akt signaling pathways mediating.
