Relationship between Expression Level of β-tubulin-Ⅲ and Sensitivity of Chemotherapy in Patients with Stage Ⅱ Non-small Cell Lung Cancer

  • Objective To explore the relationship between chemotherapy sensitivity and the expression level of β- tubulin-Ⅲ mRNA in patients with stage Ⅱ NSCLC. Methods The expression of β-tubulin-Ⅲ mRNA was measured by Quanti-Gene assay. All patients accepted NP chemotherapy, and disease-free survival time (DFS) and overall survival time (OS) was analyzed. Results The OS of patients was related with the expression level of β-tubulin-Ⅲ (P<0.01), the DFS was related with the expression level of β-tubulin-Ⅲ and lymph node metastasis (P<0.01).The OS and DFS in patients with lower-expression level of β- tubulin-Ⅲ were longer than those with over-expression (P<0.05). Conclusion The expression of β-tubulin-Ⅲ in patients with stage Ⅱ NSCLC might be a predictive factor for chemotherapy sensitivity and the prognosis, and a reference for agents choose.
