Abstract
Objective To explore the effects of chlorine e6-photodynamic therapy (Ce6-PDT) on proliferation, migration and colony formation of human colon cancer SW620 cells. Methods The inhibitory effect of Ce6-PDT on SW620 cell proliferation was detected by MTT assay. The migration and colony formation ability was determined by scratch test and colony formation assay respectively. Results Ce6-PDT inhibited the cell proliferation of SW620 in both concentration of Ce6- and dosage of irradiation-dependent manner. Results from scratch test showed that Ce6-PDT suppressed the migration of SW620 cells. The colony formation was decreased in SW620 cells after treatment with Ce6-PDT. Conclusion Ce6-PDT can inhibit the proliferation, migration and colony formation of human colon cancer SW620 cells in vitro.
