Expression of Aquaporin1，3，8 in Cervical Syuamous Carcingenesis and Its Relationship with Prognosis

Objective To reveal the expression of Aguaporin 1,3,8 in the developing process of invasive cervical squamous carcinoma and its relationship with prognosis among the uygur patients. Methods The expression of AQP1,3,8 mRNA in normal squamous epithelium(NSE) and in invasive squamous epithelia carcinoma(ISEC) was measured by RT-PCR.The position of AQP1,3,8 protein in NSE,ISEC and Cervical intraepithelial neoplasia(CINⅢ) was determined by immunohistochemistry. Results AQP1,3,8 mRNA was found in both NSE and ISEC in uygur patients.The expression quantity of AQP1,3,8 mRNA showed no significant difference between NSE and ISEC (P>0.05).The AQP1,3,8 protein localized and expressed positively on the cell membranes in NSE,CINⅢ and ISEC.And the expression of AQP1,AQP3 and AQP8 in NSE,CIN Ⅲ and ISEC showed significant difference (P<0.05).The clinical stage of cervical carcinoma,diameter of tumor and lymphnode metastasis can be regarded as independent prognosis factors.Aquaporin1,3,8 may affect on the prognosis by controlling the volume of tumor. Conclusion The overexpression of AQP1,3,8 plays an important role in the carcinogenesis and progression of cervical carcinoma.
